211 Media LLC is a Media and Entertainment Development company located in Austin, TX. We create engaging experiences for fans and our clients. 211 Media was founded and is run by Josh Snow.
As President of 211 Media Mr. Snow manages all day-to-day operations and long-term strategies. He created the company to continue his passion of combining the best of content, technology, and entertainment to enhance the consumer experience.
Prior to 211 Media, Mr. Snow was Senior Director of Interactive Video at Sling Media and was responsible for the development of all consumer-facing video products on the Sling.com Video Portal. This included leading the creation of a web-based SlingPlayer application to enhance the accessibility and functionality of consumer Slingboxes. Sling Media was purchased by EchoStar in the Fall of 2007.
Mr. Snow has experience at both large media companies and new start-ups. He spent five years at ESPN working on multiple video properties including ESPN Motion and ESPN 360 where he oversaw product development and strategy. ESPN Motion was one of the first high volume implementations of video on a major media website (Youtube was just a dream back then) and ESPN360 was and is a highly successful ISP-partnered live streaming service. Mr. Snow has also spent time working for ABCNews.com, Pseudo.com and MSNBC.
He received his BA in Film and Video from The Pennsylvania State University in 1998.
